Yam Festival
This story takes place centuries ago in the Dahomey kingdom in the country of Benin. At the beginning of yam festivals, the king would address the villagers and would often reveal surprising news to them. This particular year, the King announced that his beautiful daughter was ready to marry. The villagers were very excited about this news. The king then informed them that there was just one catch.
The lucky man would have to prove himself worthy of marrying his beautiful daughter.
